Regional Coordinators

The Regional Coordinator (RC) is the primary liaison between leagues in that region and various JRDA Departments and the Board of Directors. The RC communicates important deadlines and discusses issues or interests with leagues, reporting on these communications at the monthly Regional Coordinators' meetings. 

Additionally, the RC helps oversee the planning and execution of the postseason and is a liaison between participating teams, host leagues, Tournament Directors (GTOs) and the Postseason Committee. Regional Coordinators may be asked to:

  • Assist with securing postseason hosts and venues

  • Assist with recruiting Tournament Directors (GTOs) and Tournament Head Officials

  • Be available as a JRDA representative during postseason events in or near your region

  • Provide and solicit feedback on how to improve the competitive season, including the postseason

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be an excellent communicator, able and willing to make phone / video calls and respond to emails 2-3 times per week

  • Must be familiar with JRDA and with junior roller derby in a particular region

  • Must live in or be affiliated with a JRDA team in that region

  • Must be in good standing with the JRDA (i.e., no suspensions)

The term is from January - December and is voted on by the Member Congress of each region's leagues in December.
