JRDA Games Director and Committee Chair Positions Coming Available

As the JRDA Games Director term comes to an end, the JRDA is now accepting applications for the Games Director position. Please send your application to secretary@juniorrollerderby.org.

Charters, Sanctioning, Stats, and Rankings Committee Chairs

  • Report directly to the JRDA Games Director
  • Provide monthly committee status reports to the JRDA Games Director
  • Oversee Committee calendar/volunteer schedule to ensure sufficient coverage and time off for all volunteers within your commitee
  • Ensure compliance of all committee specific policies and deadlines are being met by all JRDA members
  • Assist with processing of all submissions within your committee
  • Work with the Games Director to recruit, onboard, and train all new committee members
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound committee communications to JRDA membership are being addressed in a timely manner
  • Must complete and clear an annual background check


TIME COMMITMENT: 3 - 5 hours a week depending on work volume and seasonal demand

 

JRDA’s Games Director is a Board member position. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all committees within the Games Dept. and create new committees as needed
  • Oversee compliance of games related policies and deadlines by JRDA members
  • Review and write games related policies for committees within the Games Dept.
  • Recruit and help train Committee Chairs (Sanctioning, Charters, Rankings, Stats)
  • Assist Committee Chairs with recruiting and training new committee members
  • Ensure committee communications with JRDA member leagues are addressed in a timely manner (current expectation is 24-48 hours turnaround)
  • Assist with processing submissions to Games Dept. committees as needed to ensure deadlines are met
  • Participate on Suspension Panel (discussions, investigations, and written communications with all parties involved in the suspension processes)
  • Coordinate with the JRDA Technology Team on Sports Engine functionality
  • Participate in JRDA conference calls (BOD, Regional Coordinator, Events Planning, etc)
  • Participate in conference calls with other organizations (WFTDA, MRDA, etc.)
  • Travel to JRDA tournaments as needed
  • Must complete and clear an annual background check
  • Passport is highly recommended


TIME COMMITMENT: 10 - 15 hours a week depending on work volume and seasonal demand (10+ hours more during first two months while Committee Chairs are being onboarded)
