Below is a list of Finance Dept Committees. Each section includes a short description of duties as well as the time generally required as a member of that specific committee. Please email treasurer@juniorrollerderby.org if you have any questions. 
 

FINANCE COMMITTEE

*Review monthly financials and account reconciliations for deferred revenue accounts, 3rd party registration accounts, mobile payment accounts, virtual store accounts, and all banking accounts.

Time commitment is 3-5 hours a month.  

 

Grants Committee

*Research all grant opportunities for the Association and assist with grant applications and grant monitoring.

Time commitment is 3-5 hours a month.  

 

Scholarship Committee

The JRDA will be awarding one to three $1,000 scholarships in the upcoming competitive season for players that will be attending higher education institutions the following fall (including trade or technical schools).  

Ideal candidates would have:

  • experience in dealing with scholarships, financial aid, student services, or related areas. 
  • evidence of strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • demonstrated success at working effectively in a diverse, collaborative team environment.
  • demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience in multi-cultural settings or working with diverse audiences.

The candidates will:

  • Serve as members of the JRDA Scholarship Committee
  • Coordinate processes to award scholarships 
  • Maintain detailed records of scholarship administration
  • Assist students with scholarship questions and concerns
  • Promote scholarship opportunities at JRDA events as appropriate
