Concussion Training

We advocate that each coach and volunteer should be familiar with current concussion assessment and protocols. We want our skaters to grow up to be happy, healthy adult skaters!

CDC Heads Up Concussion Training Course

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers an outstanding online course in keeping athletes safe from concussion. It features interviews with leading experts and interactive exercises to help you recognize concussion and know how to respond if you think your skater might have a concussion.

Concussion Assessment Tool - SCAT-2

This tool is a standardized method of evaluating injured athletes for concussion and can be used for ages 10 years and older. This form should be trackside at every practice and every game for use if a concussion is suspected.
